Before becoming an Oklahoma home inspector, I spent more than 10 years in the remodeling industry after retiring from the Army. I’ve seen homes done right, and I’ve seen what can happen when corners are cut.
That experience taught me a lot about houses—where problems tend to show up, what to look for, and which details deserve a closer look.
But Dad Approved Home Inspections really started with something much simpler: I’m a dad of five.
As my kids got older and started reaching the age where buying a home became a real possibility, I found myself thinking about what I would want for them.
If one of my kids were buying this house, how would I want their home inspector to treat them?
I’d want someone to take their time and do the job right. Someone who would explain what they found in plain English without making every little issue sound like a disaster. Someone who would answer their questions, be honest about what matters, and give them the information they need to make their own decision.
That’s the approach I bring to every home inspection.
You don’t have to be one of my kids to get that level of care.
